Dik Nicolai (1975) is known as a Dutch portrait and art-photographer, working independently though creating his images in his studio in the countryside near the city of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Over the years, Nicolai acquired the desire to create a free, artistic oeuvre next to his commercial work. Fascinated by the bright Dutch light, he created exquisite still lifes with his own characteristic signature. But since 2000 Nicolai works on his modern art collection made of trash, minerals and gold.
