Herman Friedrich (Herman) Bieling (Rotterdam, June 21, 1887 - Rhoon, December 5, 1964) was a Dutch painter, graphic artist and sculptor of German descent.
Bieling trained at the Academy of Visual Arts in Rotterdam. Between 1917 and 1927 he was a member and co-founder of De Branding from Rotterdam, an avant-garde group of artists.

Herman Friedrich (Herman) Bieling (Rotterdam, June 21, 1887 - Rhoon, December 5, 1964) was a Dutch painter, graphic artist and sculptor of German descent.
Bieling trained at the Academy of Visual Arts in Rotterdam. Between 1917 and 1927 he was a member and co-founder of De Branding from Rotterdam, an avant-garde group of artists.
Afterwards he was also co-founder of the Circle of Visual Artists R 33, of which he also became the first secretary. During that period he made a lot of cubist work.
Subjects included landscapes, river and seascapes, still lifes and people. Bieling made many trips, including to Corsica, Brittany, Morocco, the US and Rome.
