Mos Merab Samii was born in Rasht, Iran in 1943. After many wanderings in his own country and Europe, he eventually ended up in the Netherlands.
As a 10-year-old boy, Mos received a Kodak photo machine from his father as a gift and he started photographing as a hobby. With his fascinating still lifes, Mos has developed into a 'Master of Light'. He is inspired by the old Dutch masters.
His strength is the imitation of composition and light. He knows how to stage this like no other. His still lifes take us back in time and never get bored.
Moss creates his own sets and only uses thrift store items and Lidl fruit and vegetables.
