- About the artist
Jacqueline Bozon (Helmond, 1 March 1966) grew up in Helmond (NB), where she still lives. In her youth she likes to draw a lot, but the world of art is on another planet. Becoming an artist is therefore impossible for her, there is no future in it, according to her father. So no art academy for Jacqueline, but the PABO, which she successfully completed in 1988. Yet, although she enjoys standing in front of the class, the desire for art does not let go of her. She starts with wall paintings in children's rooms; at home she paints her emotions on canvas. She becomes more and more enthusiastic and teaches herself all kinds of techniques, so that she quickly grows in her art. To develop this even further, she goes to the Academy of Fine Arts (B). In 2003 she takes a year of unpaid leave to dedicate herself passionately to painting. After graduating from the Academy in 2005, she took the plunge and finally said goodbye to education after 17 years.
Since then she has been intensely involved in painting, gaining inspiration, learning and studying. During her travels she is greatly inspired by different cultures and through her life experiences she gets her own special view on life that she shows in her paintings. Motto in her work is “the art of seeing without thinking and not thinking that one sees”.
