- About the artworkThis rare pair of showcases are fitted on 19th C console tables. One is filled with exotic taxidermy birds; the other is mounted with endemic European taxidermy birds. The taxidermist had an excellent eye for detail and also put in a small pond, a bird nest and several small animals from the woods: snails, birdnest, small snakes, mice, squirrel, beetles, frog and a stoat.
