23 cm. - Sur l'artisteMaurice Maignan (1868, Neufchâtel-en-Bray, Seine-Maritime, France -1946, Paris) est un sculpteur français qui a travaillé dans le style Art nouveau. Les matériaux qu'il a utilisés sont le bronze et le marbre. Il était un artiste à l'esprit social, comme en témoigne sa publication Économie esthétique ; la question sociale sera résolue par l'esthétique (Paris, Éditions de l'art décoratif, 1912). Les restes de son corps ont été inhumés dans le columbarium du Père-Lachaise à Paris.
