Sul l'artista
Jean-André Reiche era un rispettato artigiano di oggetti in bronzo di Lipsia che lavorò principalmente durante il periodo dell'Impero. Si trasferì a Parigi mentre Luigi XVI era al potere e divenne un maestro fondatore nel 1785, dopo di che la sua reputazione iniziò presto a crescere. Morì nel 1817, dopo di che lasciò la sua attività di successo a suo figlio.
