    Evert Moll is best known for his paintings of the port of Rotterdam and shipping on the Nieuwe Maas from the period 1920-1930. There is a lot of work by the painter in a varying quality of whether or not speaking representations. This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful paintings by Evert Moll because of the appealing composition and the clear use of color.

  • Sobre artista

    Evert Moll (1878-1955) nasceu em Voorbug. Ele viveu e trabalhou lá até 1930, mas também em Londres (1899-1905), Paris, Rotterdam e Haia, onde morreu. Ele era um autodidata, mas em contato com Willem Maris (1844-1910) e membro do Pulchri Studio.

    Além de pintor, trabalhou também como negociante de arte. Suas obras estão preservadas no Museu Zuiderzee e no Museu Boijmans-van Beuningen. Suas pinturas são um bom exemplo das habilidades marinhas de Moll, um gênero no qual ele se especializou junto com pinturas de paisagens. Moll estava particularmente interessado na vida dos portos, que ele amplamente representou em sua obra.
