- About the artist
Loes Knoben (1956) is self-taught in working with bronze. Her bronze sculptures show expression, movement and tension. Loes' work reflects her view of life and shows her talent to observe people and fathom their feelings. This highly developed intuition is reflected in her sculptures. Natural materials are the starting point in her work. She is always looking for wood, branches and bark, weathered by wind and weather. In this she searches for strength, rhythm and balance. Starting from this, her sculptures emerge as a voyage of discovery.
