The closed sculptures of Jan Mul are carved from stone, with hammer and chisel, an attentive eye and endless patience. The figurative statues often have man as their subject, the block of stone is and remains his starting point. He searches for the sculpture, often the human figure in the basic form and structure of the material. The traces of the working have been left visible. The sculptures are of a moving simplicity. His work is owned by private individuals, companies, institutions and collectors at home and abroad.
