Les peintures de Maya Kulenovic ont été exposées dans plus de trente expositions personnelles et dans de nombreuses autres expositions collectives et foires d’art au Canada, au Royaume-Uni, aux Pays-Bas, aux États-Unis, en Irlande, en Italie, au Japon, en Corée du Sud et en Turquie. Son travail se trouve dans de nombreuses collections à travers le monde.
Un livre sur son travail avec introduction par Edward Lucie-Smith a été publié par d’jonge Hond 2008 à Amsterdam, aux Pays-Bas. Sa dernière monographie, Fugue, comprenant un essai de Mark Kingwell a été publiée à Toronto, Canada en 2017.Elle a étudié l'art à la London University of the Arts (au Chelsea College of Art and Design) à Londres, en Angleterre (maîtrise en arts), en Ontario.
College of Art and Design University (AOCAD Honours) à Toronto et Mimar Sinan University à Istanbul. Elle est également une ancienne élève du London Goodenough College à Londres, en Angleterre.
De nationalité canadienne, elle vit actuellement à Toronto. Elle est née à Sarajevo, SFR Yougoslavie.
