- About the artist
Nora Tholhuijsen is a Dutch painter that currently specializes in oil paintings of forests. She studied at the Royal Academy of Art and Design in 's Hertogenbosch and the Academy of Fine Arts in Sint Niklaas in Belgium. She also studied art history and cultural history. Tholhuijsen finds inspiration in the woodlands around 's Hertogenbosch, her place of residence, and uses strong colours to depict the playful lighting that can be found in the woods.
