Johannes Cornelis Zürcher (1794, Amsterdam – 1882, Amstelveen) was baptized in the Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam on May 4 1794 and died in Nieuwer-Amstel, Amstelveen.
He was an engraver, like his father Antoni Zürcher (1755 – 1837). He married Maria Wilhelmina Ludérus (1803 – 1867). He produced many school maps and atlases. Six engravings by Zürcher are included in the Rijksprentenkabinet. In 1828 Zürcher lived on the Overtoom. Later on he moved tot he P.C. Hooftstraat. At the end of his life he lived in Amstelveen. His two sons Antonie Frederik and Frederik Willem were artists too, draftsmen and painters.
