  • About the artwork
Noemi Martín belongs to a generation of young painters for whom the avant-garde of the mid-twentieth century is just another feature of the history of art, they are capable of observing reality and expressing themselves in figurative language. This new form of imagining, free from complexes, doubts or resignations, is able to communicate complex emotions to a modern audience who are confident in their own take on art.
Noemi Martín’s work revels in imaginary spaces in which perspective is the only form of architecture, and in which her unmistakable ochres, greys and yellows bathe every detail, creating a world which, although imaginary, reflects an infinite number of realities and the most intimate of our sentiments, like a mirror.Sometimes it feels as though we have entered author Carlos Ruiz Zafón’s ‘cemetery of forgotten books’ inspired by the same Barcelona as Martín’s work, both imbued with the same spirit of times past which speak of our hopes and fears. And sometimes it feels as though time has come to a standstill and we may move into spaces and times which have already been lived through, while on other occasions we may contemplate a pile of books which seems about to catch fire on a metaphorical funeral pyre: books full of love, hope and dreams which nobody seems to want to re-live, books by both famous and unknown authors that time has brought together on a journey to nowhere. Although if we allow ourselves to be carried by our emotions, we shall always find a warm light in her paintings.
  • About the artist

Noemi Martín is a Spanish artist born in 1962 in Bilbao, a city in the Basque region where she founded a country with many artistic traditions and a vibrant cultural scene. Martin took a young step towards art and was involved in a series of scornful landscaping and an architect's dream. The work was conceived as a unique combination of traditional technology and modern aesthetics, although it was also prominent in international art.

Martin studied art at the prestigious Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Basque Country. He studied both on a scale of artistic expression, ranging from impressionism to abstract expressionism. There is a work of art where a painter of impressionists, named Claude Monet, was a painter of light and color. Later on, a single style was created, both abstract and figuratively subtle.

Noemi Martín's art ranges from poetry to introspection. The state is characterized by the use of shocks, natural coloring pages and dynamic thinking, which are characterized by the desire for inspiration and emotion. The works are deeply inspired by natural landscapes and scenes, but also become symbolic of the reflection of themes such as identity, tension and contradiction.

Martin worked extensively in acrylic painting, but he also experienced many techniques and graphic arts. The artists have a serene feeling, with a balance of strength and complexity, which is very attractive to the public.

Since the 1980s, Noemi Martín has worked extensively in managed galleries and museums in Spain, such as the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and the Museo Reina Sofía in Madrid. The international community has been conducting research in Paris, New York and Tokyo. The work is done from both open-source and private collections over the country.

Martín has several awards and prizes awarded for his work in art, including the prestigious National Prize for Visual Arts. The hair has been carefully folded and the hair has been removed; They are also used for artistic production through workshops and lessons learned through creative processes.

Noemi Martín works in a studio near Bilbao, where she is naturally educated and works in a variety of fields. They draw inspiration from food, literature, music, and art as a means of connecting with the world they are waiting for.
